About dpp.cloud

We make the EU Digital Product Passport work for manufacturers - not just compliance teams.

dpp.cloud is a product of sqanit GmbH, a Munich-based team that has spent years solving one stubborn problem: products move through the world, but their data doesn't. We built dpp.cloud to change that - turning every physical product into a connected, transparent, regulation-ready digital experience. No app required. No endless IT project. Just a QR code that does the work.

Our Journey

From a broken printer to 1.2 million products - and counting.

dpp.cloud is a product of sqanit GmbH, a Munich-based team that has spent years solving one stubborn problem: products move through the world, but their data doesn't. We built dpp.cloud to change that by turning every physical product into a connected, transparent, regulation-ready digital experience. No app required. No endless IT project. Just a QR code that does the work.

2017

Start of journey

The printer is defective. The operating instructions cannot be found and support is unavailable. There has to be an easier way! And so the idea for sqanit is born.

2023

100,000th QR Code live

Six years of development & growth reach a milestone. Leading MedTech companies including Henry Schein and Stryker trust sqanit to manage installed base and service documentation at scale - validating the platform in one of the world's most regulated industries.

2025

dpp.cloud launches as an independent brand

Built on sqanit's proven QR and digital twin infrastructure, dpp.cloud launches as a dedicated product bringing EU Digital Product Passport compliance to manufacturers without the need for lengthy IT projects.

2025

MedTech customers already DPP-ready

While most industries are still planning their compliance approach, sqanit's MedTech customers are already live with DPP-readiness technology - years ahead of EU ESPR mandates.

2025

Akeneo PIM integration

Partnership with Akeneo enables manufacturers to pull product data directly from their PIM and generate Digital Product Passports automatically by eliminating double entry and accelerating time to compliance.

2026

GS1 partnership & Digital Link rollout begins

dpp.cloud formalises a partnership with GS1 and begins implementing the GS1 Digital Link standard connecting globally recognised product identifiers directly to interoperable, regulation-ready Digital Product Passports.

2026

Apparel and furniture customers go live

dpp.cloud expands beyond MedTech as first customers in apparel and furniture onboard demonstrating the platform's cross-industry flexibility ahead of upcoming EU ESPR mandates for textiles and furniture.

2026

GS1 Digital Link fully live

Implementation complete. Every product QR code on dpp.cloud now resolves through a GS1 Digital Link fully standards-compliant, globally interoperable, and ready for the EU's evolving DPP requirements.

Our team

Built by engineers. Run by people who care about getting it right.

dpp.cloud is built and operated by the sqanit team: a group of engineers, product specialists, and business development professionals based in Munich, Germany. We've been building QR-based product experiences since 2017. The EU Digital Product Passport is, for us, a natural evolution of everything we've already proven works at scale.
